POOL ACTIVITIES
How it's all connected?
Throughout our project, we have discovered that swimming in the pool not only benefits a person’s physical condition but also positively impacts their psychoemotional well-being. This is linked to several factors.
Firstly, water has a calming effect that helps reduce stress and anxiety levels, which is essential for individuals who have experienced trauma. Swimming creates a sense of buoyancy and relaxation, aiding in the reduction of tension and improving overall well-being.
Secondly, the aquatic environment provides a gentle load on the body, allowing individuals to avoid pain and discomfort during rehabilitation, unlike gym exercises, while promoting improvements in physical fitness.
Moreover, regular swimming sessions can positively affect sleep quality, which in turn improves mood and overall emotional stability. Training in the pool can also foster a sense of achievement and boost self-confidence, which is an important aspect of the recovery process.
